Ficus Lyrata, commonly known as the Fiddle-leaf fig, is a perfect indoor specimen plant.
Ficus Lyrata is a tropical tree native to Western Africa.
Fiddle-Leaf Care Tips :
Light : Needs bright light and indirect sun light.
Water : Keep soil evenly moist at all times and your ficus tree pot has good drainage. Don’t overwater or leave plant sitting in water.
Soil : A good draining potting soil is needed.
Fertilizer : Ficus Lyrata does not have strong need for fertilizer, but feeding with a diluted liquid fertilizer every month during growing seasons (spring to autumn) is preferred.
Humidity : Normal room humidity is fine.
Temperature : Temperatures between 60-75’F (suitable 15-24’c).
Pests or Fungus : Ficus trees are occasionally affected pests or fungus, that can cause ficus tree to drop leaves.
The sign of a pest problem the leaves on the ficus tree will be sticky or have liquid dripping off them as well as falling off, if this problem you will need insecticide like neem oil.
A ficus tree with a fungus will have yellow or brown spots on the leaves.
